Lofoten

The beauty of this place is simply staggering.
— Lonely Planet

The Lofoten Islands are dotted across the restless waters of the Norwegian Sea, above the Arctic Circle. These beautiful islands offer a unique landscape of jagged mountains, deep fjords, rarely seen wildlife, and long, surf-swept beaches.

Lofoten has a much milder climate than other places at the same latitude, thanks to the warm Gulf Stream. Between late May and mid July you can experience the midnight sun, and the northern lights can be seen from September to mid April.

The islands are a popular year-round holiday destination, made even more popular by the critically acclaimed Nordisk Film Production, ‘Twin’. The drama was set on Lofoten and has had a global audience.
